Now in its fifth edition, the GOLFZON OPEN offers a total purse of KRW 1 billion, including KRW 200 million for the winner. The tournament is hosted by GOLFZON and organized by Korea Professional Golf Tour Co., Ltd.
A total of 132 players will compete on the OUT and IN courses at GOLFZON County Seonsan in Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province, a par-71 layout measuring 7,109 yards. The field includes inaugural champion Park Eun-shin and fellow past champions Jeong Chan-min, Ham Jeong-woo and Park Seong-guk, as well as Moon Do-yeop, who tied for second at last week’s KPGA Shinhan Donghae Open and is set to compete in the Asian Games. The winner will receive 1,000 Genesis Points and a two-year exemption for the 2027 and 2028 seasons.
Following the pro-am on September 15, the tournament held its official photocall on September 16, the designated practice day, ahead of the opening round on September 17. With the second half of the KPGA Korean Tour season in full swing, intense competition is expected as players battle to secure their tour status.
GOLFZON will also offer free admission to G-Membership members, along with coupons for participation in various on-site events. During each round, spectators will receive scratch-off tickets, while a prize drawing will be held on the 18th green following the awards ceremony, with prizes including a car, washing machine and golf clubs.
