GOLFZON CHINA, the Chinese subsidiary of global golf platform company GOLFZON (CEO Park Kang-soo), announced on October 7 that it had signed broadcast rights agreements for the finals of the 2026 GOLFZON CHINA OPEN with South Korea’s SBS Golf and Japan’s Golf Network on September 8 and 9 in Seoul and Tokyo, respectively.

SBS Golf is a dedicated golf channel that broadcasts tournaments from the KPGA and KLPGA, South Korea’s men’s and women’s professional golf tours, along with expert commentary. The channel also offers a range of golf content and services tailored to golf fans. Golf Network is Japan’s only dedicated golf channel. The agreements aim to bring the 2026 GOLFZON CHINA OPEN, which GOLFZON and GOLFZON CHINA will host in China this December, to a wider audience of golf fans through dedicated golf channels in South Korea and Japan.

The signing ceremonies were held on September 8 at the Media Studio in GOLFZON Tower Seoul’s R&D Center with SBS Golf and on September 9 at GOLFZON Driving Range Higashi-Shinjuku in Tokyo with Golf Network. Representatives and officials from the respective companies attended the ceremonies and expressed their commitment to the successful staging of the global finals, which will be broadcast live.

The GOLFZON CHINA OPEN is a screen golf tournament that GOLFZON has hosted since 2022 to promote screen golf in China and expand the country’s golf participation base. The tournament has grown in scale and prize money each year. Since 2025, it has been held at CITYGOLF, an urban golf course concept introduced by GOLFZON in China, attracting attention from golf fans worldwide. CITYGOLF is a next-generation golf course model that combines the advantages of screen golf and on-course golf, allowing golfers to enjoy a golf experience similar to playing on a traditional course in an urban setting, regardless of weather conditions or time constraints.

This year’s 2026 GOLFZON CHINA OPEN is a global tournament open to both professional and amateur golfers worldwide. The total prize pool has doubled from the previous year to RMB 20 million (approximately KRW 4.25 billion), with a winner’s prize of RMB 5 million (approximately KRW 1.05 billion). Golfers from five regions—South Korea, China, the rest of Asia, the Americas, and Europe—participated in the tournament, with qualifying rounds followed by regional main rounds that concluded in August. The global finals will take place over four days, from December 17 to 20, at GOLFZON’s third CITYGOLF location in China, located in Chengdu. A total of 170 golfers from around the world will compete for the championship title.

The global finals will be broadcast live on SBS Golf in South Korea, GOLFZON’s YouTube channel, Screen Golfzon TV, and Golf Network in Japan. Additional international coverage is also planned to showcase the appeal of the global tournament held at CITYGOLF, GOLFZON’s urban golf course concept.

Park Seong-bong, Chairman of GOLFZON CHINA, said, “We are pleased to have signed a broadcast rights agreement with SBS Golf for the second consecutive year. SBS Golf has played an important role in the development of professional golf tours in South Korea.”

He added, “We look forward to continued interest and support for the successful staging of this year’s GOLFZON CHINA OPEN, which has expanded into a global tournament. We will continue to provide golfers worldwide with opportunities to participate in the tournament and contribute to the development of the golf industry.”

Meanwhile, tournament-related content from the 2026 GOLFZON CHINA OPEN will also be available through Chinese online platforms, including Migu, Sina, Youku, and iQIYI.
