Chosun Ilbo reported that GOLFZON has completed the Korean main round of the 2026 GOLFZON CHINA OPEN at GOLFZON CITYGOLF Yanji, its second CITYGOLF location in China, confirming 20 players who will advance to the Finals. The media outlet noted that the 2026 GOLFZON CHINA OPEN is a global tournament featuring professional and amateur golfers from five regions — Korea, China, Asia, the Americas and Europe — with a total prize purse of approximately KRW 4.25 billion and a winner’s prize of approximately KRW 1.05 billion.
The media outlet reported that approximately 20,000 golfers participated in the preliminary qualifying round in Korea, recording more than 40,000 rounds. In the Korean main round, a total of 20 players secured spots in the Finals, including 15 professional players and five amateur players. The professional finalists include Kim Hong-taek, Lee Tae-hee, Ji Han-sol, Kim Han-byeol and Jeon Jae-han. It also noted that professional golfers and well-known golf influencers from other regions, including China and Japan, have either secured spots in the Finals or are currently competing in their respective qualification stages.
The Finals are scheduled to take place from December 17 to 20 at GOLFZON CITYGOLF Chengdu, GOLFZON’s third CITYGOLF location in China, with a total of 170 players participating. Chosun Ilbo also highlighted how GOLFZON is expanding the GOLFZON CHINA OPEN into a global tournament that brings together golfers from around the world, supported by the company’s simulator technology.
