[Edaily] Jang Yu-bin Eyes Third Win at GOLFZON OPEN

Jang began training at the GOLFZON Leadbetter Academy in 2016 and was later selected for the GOLFZON Scholarship Program, established to support promising young golfers in local communities. Through the program, he received systematic support as he pursued his dream of becoming a professional golfer. Even after developing into one of the leading players in Korean men’s golf, Jang has continued his ties with GOLFZON.

In particular, after claiming five major honors on the 2024 KPGA Tour, including the Genesis Grand Prize and the season money title, Jang donated KRW 40 million to the Yuwon Golf Foundation to support scholarships for young golf talents. His donation carried forward the support he himself had received as a young golfer by giving back to the next generation. Against this backdrop, Edaily highlighted the significance of Jang once again competing for a title at a tournament hosted by GOLFZON, which helped provide a foundation for his development.

Jang currently leads the Genesis Grand Prize points standings, and the outcome of the GOLFZON OPEN could further strengthen his position in the race for the season-long title. He has also shown consistent form in recent events, including a tie for second at the Shinhan Donghae Open, drawing attention to whether he can secure his third victory of the season.

The GOLFZON OPEN is a KPGA Tour event hosted by GOLFZON. This year’s four-day tournament will be held at the par-71, 7,109-yard GOLFZON County Seonsan, featuring many of Korea’s leading male professional golfers competing for the title.
