Dong-A Ilbo reported that GOLFZON Newdin Group, marking its 21st anniversary, has unveiled the slogan ‘Swing your dream’ for a social contribution campaign that consolidates its job support programs for underserved communities. The article noted that the campaign brings together the job support initiatives that had been carried out individually by affiliates such as GOLFZON, GOLFZON Distribution, GOLFZON County, and GOLFZON GDR Academy into a single program, embodying the Group’s aspiration to support underserved communities in building a foundation for self-reliance through employment and in realizing their dreams.
The report stated that, through programs supporting people with disabilities and North Korean defectors, around 100 individuals have found jobs at Group affiliates, and that Newdin Pastel, a standard workplace for people with disabilities, has employed some 40 young people with disabilities since 2018, having them perform as members of a choir and as baristas at the in-house cafe. GOLFZON County has operated a caddie training program for North Korean defectors since 2015, with around 40 of them now working at its golf courses, while GOLFZON GDR Academy has, since 2020, employed five people with developmental disabilities as visual artists, providing them with opportunities for creative work. The report also conveyed a message from CEO Choi Deok-hyung, who said, “We will spare no effort to help socially vulnerable groups overcome difficulties and achieve self-reliance.”
