GOLFZON Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Kang-soo) announced on July 20 that Lee Jin-kyung claimed the title at the 5th tournament of the 2026 Lotte Rent-a-Car WGTOUR, held on July 19 at Champions Hall in GOLFZON ZOIMARU, Daejeon.

Lee carded 12-under-par in the first round and 11-under-par in the final round to finish at 23-under-par overall. The victory marked her second win of the season and fourth career WGTOUR title.

The tournament featured a total prize purse of KRW 80 million. Lotte Rent-a-Car, which has maintained a long-standing partnership with GOLFZON to support the development of Korea’s screen golf tour, served as the main sponsor.

Supporting sponsors included Challenger Golfwear, Srixon, CaddyTalk, Vienna Coffee House, and 1879, while Golden Blue served as the Daesang Points sponsor.

The tournament was played as a one-day, two-round, 36-hole stroke play event at Pinstone CC using GOLFZON TwoVision NX in Tour Mode. The 18-hole, par-72 course measured 6,087 meters, with both the course and green difficulty set at Level 4.

Reading the subtle breaks on the greens was a key factor in scoring, allowing spectators to see the players employ a range of course-management and putting strategies.

A total of 80 players competed, including players who advanced through qualifying, leading rookies, and invited players. Following the first round, 60 players advanced to the final round based on the back-count tiebreaking method.

The first round produced a closely packed leaderboard as the WGTOUR players demonstrated a high level of play. The final round continued with a tightly contested battle among the tour’s leading players.

Lee entered the final round tied for the lead with Seo Cho-bi and Jo Yoon-jeong. She remained calm and consistent on the front nine before moving into the lead with a birdie on the eighth hole.

Despite pressure from the chasing group, Lee maintained her composure and consistent shot-making. She recorded seven birdies on the back nine alone to finish at 23-under-par and secure her fourth career WGTOUR victory.

Jo Ye-jin moved into a share of the lead with Lee on the ninth hole of the final round and remained in contention until the end. Known for her length off the tee, Jo combined powerful shots with effective course management but narrowly missed a final birdie opportunity on the 18th hole. She finished runner-up at 22-under-par.

Strong performances from several established WGTOUR players also highlighted the tournament. After a relatively quiet first round, Hong Hyun-ji carded a 13-under-par final round to finish tied for third with Kim Na-young 2 at 21-under-par.

Park Dan-yu finished at 20-under-par, sharing fifth place with Park Sa-gwa, Bae Jin-ri, and Lee Seo-yoon.

The tournament marked the beginning of the second half of the WGTOUR season and was open to golf fans free of charge. A large crowd gathered at GOLFZON ZOIMARU, where refreshments, pre-registration activities, and photo zones added to the on-site fan experience.

A prediction contest also allowed members to earn G-PASS points by correctly selecting the top six finishers before the start of the final round. Voting remained open until 3:30 p.m. on the day of the tournament.

The results were made available through the View Results section for the relevant tournament on the GTOUR Prediction page and through GOLFZON announcements.

At the awards ceremony following the tournament, Lee received KRW 17 million in prize money, 2,000 Daesang Points, the championship trophy, a champion’s jacket, and a bouquet. She also received a vehicle and maintenance voucher from Lotte Rent-a-Car.

Reflecting on her victory, Lee said, “I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone involved for their continued support.”

She added, “I believe this result came from practicing consistently. I will continue preparing diligently throughout the second half of the season and aim to finish in the top 10 at every tournament.”

Lee also received the 1879 Long Drive Award, presented to the player who recorded the longest drive in the tournament, after posting a distance of 243.2 meters.

Meanwhile, information on the history of WGTOUR, Korea’s leading women’s screen golf tour now celebrating its 15th anniversary, as well as tournament details, player records, and highlights from previous events, is available on the official WGTOUR website.

On the day of the tournament, the competition was broadcast live in 4K UHD beginning at 11 a.m. on GOLFZON TV, the GOLFZON YouTube channel, Naver Sports, and Daum Sports. The final round, which began at 3:30 p.m., was also broadcast on SBS Golf2.
