GOLFZON Co., Ltd. (CEO Park Kang-soo) announced on July 19 that Park Rae-sung claimed his first career GTOUR title at the finals of the 5th tournament of the 2026 Shinhan Investment Securities GTOUR, held on July 18 at Champions Hall in GOLFZON ZOIMARU, Daejeon.
Park carded 10-under-par in the first round and 13-under-par in the final round to finish at 23-under-par overall.
Hosted by GOLFZON, with Shinhan Investment Securities serving as the main sponsor, the tournament featured a total prize purse of KRW 100 million. The champion also received an exemption into the KPGA Dong-A Membership Group Open, scheduled to take place in August, adding further intensity to the competition.
Supporting sponsors included Challenger Golfwear, Srixon, Vienna Coffee House, and MyCaddie, while Golden Blue served as the Daesang Points sponsor.
The tournament was played as a one-day, two-round, 36-hole stroke play event on the 6,730-meter Jangsu Golf Resort course using GOLFZON TwoVision NX in Tour Mode. Significant elevation changes, narrow fairways, and strategically positioned bunkers and penalty areas placed a premium on accuracy, creating an engaging contest defined by precise shot-making and course management.
A total of 87 players competed, including players who advanced through qualifying, leading rookies, and invited players. Following the first round, 63 players advanced to the final round based on the back-count tiebreaking method.
Park moved into a share of the lead with a birdie on the eighth hole of the final round. He continued to battle for the top position before taking the outright lead with another birdie on the 13th hole.
Living up to his reputation as one of GTOUR’s longest hitters, Park impressed spectators with powerful shots and aggressive play. He remained bogey-free throughout the challenging course and finished at 23-under-par to secure his first GTOUR victory.
Lee Se-jin 2, who entered the final round as the sole leader, was unable to lower his score on the opening holes but regained momentum with a birdie on the ninth. He finished second at 21-under-par.
Ha Seung-bin 2 thrilled spectators by recording three consecutive eagles on holes 9 through 11, adding further excitement to the competition. He remained in contention with Park until an errant second shot on the 15th hole led to a dropped shot. Ha ultimately finished tied for third with Lee Jun-hee at 20-under-par.
GTOUR standouts Kim Hong-taek and Kim Min-soo also delivered strong performances on the back nine. Kim Hong-taek demonstrated why he is known as the Emperor of Screen Golf by carding consecutive eagles on the eighth and ninth holes. Kim Min-soo also recorded two eagles and matched Kim Hong-taek at 19-under-par, with the two players sharing fifth place.
GTOUR tournaments are open to golf fans free of charge at GOLFZON ZOIMARU. A large crowd attended the finals of the 5th tournament, visiting a photo zone featuring the GTOUR championship trophy and participating in pre-registration and on-site events.
The match prediction event, which remained open for voting until 3:30 p.m. on the day of the tournament, also drew strong interest. Golf fans followed the competition and interacted through the live broadcast on the GOLFZON YouTube channel, reflecting the high level of fan engagement surrounding the screen golf tour.
At the awards ceremony following the tournament, Park received KRW 20 million in prize money, 2,000 Daesang Points, the championship trophy, a champion’s jacket, and a bouquet. He was also awarded an exemption into the KPGA Dong-A Membership Group Open as a special prize.
Reflecting on his victory, Park said, “GTOUR has played an important role in my golf career, and I am delighted to finally achieve this long-awaited victory.”
He added, “I sincerely thank everyone involved in organizing and supporting the tournament. I believe this victory was made possible because I never gave up, and I will continue working hard to deliver even stronger performances.”
Meanwhile, information on the history of GTOUR, Korea’s leading screen golf tour now celebrating its 15th anniversary, as well as tournament details, player records, and highlights from previous events, is available on the official GTOUR website.
On the day of the tournament, the competition was broadcast live in 4K UHD beginning at 11 a.m. on GOLFZON TV, the GOLFZON YouTube channel, Naver Sports, and Daum Sports. The final round, which began at 3:30 p.m., was also broadcast on SBS Golf2.
