In its June issue, Golf Digest China《高尔夫大师》, China’s leading golf publication, spotlighted the growth trajectory of the country’s digital golf market through a special feature on the indoor golf industry produced in collaboration with the China Golf Association. The feature analyzed that the most significant change in China’s golf industry of late is emerging in the indoor golf sector.
According to the article, indoor golf spaces in China are expanding into a variety of formats, including practice areas inside office buildings, unmanned self-service booths in shopping malls, community-based golf venues, and digital competition platforms. In particular, it noted that indoor golf is moving beyond a simple equipment sales market and becoming linked to the expansion of the golf population, shifts in consumption patterns, diversification of operating models, and the restructuring of industry infrastructure.
According to the 2025 edition of the China Golf Industry Report, the number of rounds played at indoor golf venues nationwide in China grew from 4.61 million rounds in 2021 to more than 10.07 million rounds in 2024. As of 2024, total revenue from indoor golf venues was tallied at 3.423 billion yuan. In addition, in 2025 the number of rounds presented by just three major simulator suppliers surpassed 12.12 million rounds, demonstrating the market’s growth momentum.
Within this context, GOLFZON China was introduced as one of the key companies leading China’s indoor golf industry. The article reported that GOLFZON China is driving market expansion through a variety of operating models, including flagship stores, standard stores, and community stores. It further explained that the company is strengthening its efforts to build a digital golf ecosystem based on community-type stores, unmanned operating models, competition IP, and industry partnerships. In particular, CITY GOLF, introduced by GOLFZON China, was spotlighted as a new model for China’s indoor golf market. It has currently been established in Tianjin and Yanji, and was introduced as having plans to launch in Chengdu in the future.
This coverage shows that China’s indoor golf industry is expanding into urban sports spaces, community-based consumption, digital competitions, AI training, and unmanned operations.
