[Forbes] Could GOLFZON’s CITY GOLF Make Its Way to the U.S.?

Media Coverage Korea

Forbes reported that GOLFZON has unveiled the world’s first CITY GOLF facility at the Tianjin Convention Center in China — a hybrid indoor 18-hole course model that combines simulator golf with real greens. The article noted that the roughly 10,000-square-foot facility consists of one simulator screen and one artificial green per hole, and also includes fitness and food-and-beverage spaces.

As for the format of play, after the tee shot and approach are completed on the simulator, the screen lifts and the hole is finished with putting on a real green — a structure that, according to the report, makes a complete 18-hole round possible in a space far smaller than that of a traditional golf course.

The article reported that the GOLFZON Group chairman said CITY GOLF would grow into a world-class golf platform that delivers an experience close to a real round in the heart of the city. GOLFZON operates more than 11,000 commercial facilities across 63 countries and records over 90 million rounds annually, and the report also conveyed expectations for CITY GOLF’s potential entry into North America, citing a 73% increase in simulator golf participants in the U.S. in 2023 compared to 2019.
