[Financial News] Yuwon Golf Foundation Recruiting Outstanding Junior Scholarship Athletes

Financial News reported that the Yuwon Golf Foundation will begin recruiting for the ‘2022 Outstanding Junior Scholarship Program’ from September 6 to 17, targeting promising elementary school golfers nationwide. The selection, now in its sixth consecutive year, will choose a final group of 20 from among elementary school golf players recommended by the 17 metropolitan and provincial offices of education across the country under the supervision of the Ministry of Education. The Foundation will provide a total of approximately 60 million won in scholarships annually to cover training fees, tournament entry fees, and equipment purchase costs, the report said.

Financial News reported that Kim Young-chan, Chairman of the Yuwon Golf Foundation, stated, “Each year, more and more of the junior athletes supported by the Foundation are going on to achieve strong results on the professional stage,” expressing his intention to continue providing ongoing support so that they can grow into the next generation of global players.
