[The Korea Economic Daily] Real-Time Korea-U.S.-China ‘Online Rounds’… Delivering On-Course Realism
The Korea Economic Daily reported that GOLFZON is expanding the horizons of screen golf on the strength of its advanced technology. The paper noted that this past February the company connected Seoul and Beijing in real time to host a cross-border screen golf tournament featuring LPGA Tour players from Korea and China, drawing the attention of golfers worldwide as roughly 120,000 viewers across the two countries logged on simultaneously to watch. It added that more than 40% of the company’s headquarters staff are R&D personnel and that GOLFZON holds 478 patents in Korea and abroad.
The Korea Economic Daily reported that GOLFZON delivers on-course realism indoors through proprietary technologies such as its swing plate, dual plate, and divot sensing. The paper noted that the company has recreated some 250 domestic golf courses with near-real accuracy using aerial photography and 3D image conversion, and that it is enhancing user satisfaction through a variety of game modes, including the online competitive games ‘Battle Zone,’ ‘Extreme Golf,’ and ‘Arcade Mode.’
The Korea Economic Daily reported that GOLFZON has earned international recognition for its unrivaled technology, having been named a ‘Best Golf Simulator’ by the U.S. golf magazine Golf Digest for five consecutive years.
