‘Tennis Pot,’ the screen tennis brand of NewDin Contents (CEO Hong Jin-pyo), a leader in Korea’s screen tennis market, is expanding its overseas export channels to leap beyond the domestic market and become a global brand.

The Korean tennis market, which has been growing rapidly in recent years, is expected by the industry to reach a size of KRW 360 billion this year, with the domestic tennis population estimated at around 600,000. The U.S. market research firm Grand View Research forecasts that the tennis equipment market will grow 2.2% annually through 2030, driven by the popularity of global tennis tournaments such as Wimbledon.

As tennis establishes itself as a popular sport worldwide, Tennis Pot—a screen tennis simulator marking its fourth anniversary this year—is winning enthusiastic responses in tennis markets at home and abroad, recognized for its differentiated technological edge that enables rallies against artificial intelligence (AI). Since 2021, building on overseas export sales to Asian countries such as Japan, China, Vietnam, and Hong Kong as well as the United States, it began new exports to European countries in 2022, and in 2023 its overseas exports have been growing to Australia, Russia, and beyond.

Tennis Pot’s greatest strength is that it goes beyond conventional screen tennis—which merely served as a ball machine—to offer an indoor playing environment similar to actual tennis. It provides a variety of game modes tailored to user needs, including a ‘Match Mode’ that lets players enjoy rallies against AI, a ‘Solo Play Mode’ for intermediate and advanced players, and a ‘Dual Mode’ in which AI and two users take turns playing a tennis match. In addition, based on the user’s shot data, it calculates optimal return values to reproduce a variety of rallies—strokes, volleys, and more—according to speed and ball spin.

Unlike conventional tennis, which requires an opponent, Tennis Pot allows skill-tailored rallies even when playing alone. It also offers fast play and high turnover without the fierce competition for court reservations, even in areas with weak tennis infrastructure—an advantage that is also drawing attention from prospective tennis facility operators.

A NewDin Contents official said, ‘As the craze for tennis spreads worldwide, inquiries about Tennis Pot at home and abroad continue to grow,’ adding, ‘We expect that the full-scale development of overseas export channels will serve as a turning point for Tennis Pot to advance to the next level, and we will continue to establish ourselves as the global brand that represents screen tennis.’

Meanwhile, buoyed by customer support, Tennis Pot is running a special domestic promotion through the end of this year that offers free upgrades from the existing 3,400 ANSI Lumen brightness projectors to 5,000 ANSI products.
