In a hands-on review of GOLFZON’s new GDR MAX simulator, GOLF.com reported that the product is the most underrated hidden gem in the simulator market.
The article noted that the GDR MAX is an all-in-one package incorporating a touchscreen, display monitor, pressure plate, multiple cameras, a projector, and a gaming computer, making it suitable not only for commercial facilities but also for home installations. In particular, it cited as a strength the fact that GOLFZON develops and operates both its hardware and software in-house, a vertically integrated structure that keeps the lag between impact and on-screen response extremely low and makes the overall user experience seamless.
On the club-fitting side, the article stated that the data figures were nearly identical to those of the Foresight QuadMax, considered the industry standard, and that its dynamic club data measurement capabilities are on par with top-tier fitting equipment. In terms of coaching features, it reported that the system offers a range of tools—including a pressure plate, cameras, joint-position tracking, and swing-path analysis—while allowing golfers to freely adjust settings to their liking, enabling it to accommodate learners of all types.
The article also reported that the software is intuitive enough to use without any separate guidance and that it is more than capable of hosting a round with friends in a home setup. Overall, GOLF.com judged the GDR MAX to be a product that combines a premium club-level fitting and coaching experience with the convenience of a home simulator.
