Dong-A Ilbo reported that Kim Han-byul, who won two consecutive KPGA Korean Tour events, cited the training he built up at the Leadbetter Academy of his sponsor GOLFZON as the secret behind his strong run. The newspaper conveyed that the key to his growth was honing his accuracy by instantly checking data through GDR simulators and shot- and ball-flight-analysis equipment at the Leadbetter Academy, where he has trained more than six hours a day since his amateur days in 2017, and by receiving guidance from professional coaches. In particular, it added that repeated practice at the short-game range, which is configured with a variety of green speeds and bunker conditions, contributed greatly to raising his recovery rate from 53% the previous year to 67%.
Dong-A Ilbo reported that Kim Han-byul, in his second year on the Korean Tour, has won two events this season and is racing at the top of both the prize-money and Player of the Year point rankings, and that he is known as the “Smile Golfer” for never losing his smile even during competition. It conveyed that, following his receipt of a Yuwon Golf Foundation scholarship in 2017, he has continued his stable tour activities with GOLFZON’s sponsorship.
Dong-A Ilbo conveyed that Kim Han-byul, while aiming to win Player of the Year this season and to advance to the PGA Tour in the long term, is growing into a new star of Korean men’s golf.
