[Daejeon Ilbo] GOLFZON Foundation Publishes White Paper on Gyeryongsan Iron-Painted Buncheong Ware!

Daejeon Ilbo reported that the GOLFZON Foundation, together with ceramic artist Lee Jae-hwang, has published the white paper “Gyeryongsan Iron-Painted Buncheong Ware,” a comprehensive compilation of iron-painted buncheong ware, a folk art form of the Joseon Dynasty. Prepared with the Foundation’s support of ceramic artist Lee Jae-hwang since 2013, the white paper comprises three volumes covering a full range of related research, from a historical examination of iron-painted buncheong ware to its patterns and archaeological analysis. Produced in both Korean and English editions, it is scheduled to be distributed to museums and libraries at home and abroad, the paper said.

Daejeon Ilbo reported that Yoon Yong-yi, distinguished professor at Myongji University, who supervised the white paper, assessed that it “will serve as an important pillar in helping iron-painted buncheong ware establish its identity and have its value reexamined within Korea.”

Daejeon Ilbo reported that GOLFZON Foundation Chairman Kim Young-chan stated that the project is “part of our cultural and artistic patronage efforts to cherish and protect Korea’s cultural heritage,” adding that the Foundation will continue to work to carry on the traditions of Korea’s unique culture and arts.
