The Chosun Ilbo reported that GOLFZON successfully concluded the ‘2025 GOLFZON China Open,’ which featured a total prize purse of 10 million yuan (approximately KRW 1.9 billion), at GOLFZON CITY GOLF’s second China location in Yanji, China, from August 28 to 31. The newspaper noted that this year’s prize money was doubled from the previous year, and that with a total of 120 participants—including players selected from across China and invited golfers—China’s Zhao Zixu claimed victory while Korea’s Choi Woon-jung finished third.

The Chosun Ilbo reported that GOLFZON drew extensive coverage from major local media outlets such as China’s CCTV, Xinhua News Agency, and the People’s Daily during the tournament, and that cumulative viewership of live streams via local platforms including WeChat GOLFZON China and Sina Golf surpassed 165,000, capturing the attention of golf fans around the world. It added that in Korea as well, the tournament held at CITY GOLF was broadcast live for the first time through GOLFZON’s YouTube channel, generating a strong response.

The Chosun Ilbo reported that GOLFZON unveiled its vision to grow the CITY GOLF tournament over the long term into a new global golf tour standing shoulder to shoulder with the PGA Tour and LIV Golf, and that the company is solidifying its position as an urban golf platform combining the strengths of screen golf and the field.
