GOLFZON NEWDIN Group has donated KRW 500 million in year-end neighborly love funds to the Community Chest of Korea (Fruit of Love).

In announcing the donation on the 15th, GOLFZON NEWDIN Group stated that “the funds were raised jointly by four affiliates—GOLFZON NEWDIN Holdings, GOLFZON, GOLFZON County, and GOLFZON Distribution—and will be used to support daily necessities and sponsorship programs that help socially vulnerable neighbors facing economic hardship get through the winter in good health.” Kim Young-chan, Chairman of GOLFZON NEWDIN Group, said, “We decided to contribute this neighborly love fund out of a wish to help the marginalized members of our society enjoy a warm year-end and to welcome the coming new year with renewed hope.”

Prior to this donation, GOLFZON NEWDIN Group delivered KRW 100 million in April through the ChildFund Korea (Green Umbrella) for children and adolescents in the digital divide who began the school year online due to COVID-19. In October, it also donated relief supplies worth KRW 20 million together with Good Neighbors for children in low-income families whose income had declined in the wake of COVID-19.

GOLFZON NEWDIN Group carries out a variety of social contribution activities to put its management philosophy of ‘sharing and consideration’ into practice. Every year-end, it consistently conducts sharing and volunteer activities, visiting marginalized families in local communities to deliver kimchi and daily necessities. In addition, through Newdin Pastel, a standard workplace subsidiary for people with disabilities, it operates the ‘GOLFZON Pastel Choir,’ the only vocational choir for people with disabilities in Korea, leading the way in creating jobs for the disabled. Beyond this, the group contributes to the development of local communities and the golf industry by carrying out the GOLFZON Foundation’s support for artists and culture as well as community sharing projects, along with support for promising young golfers and scholarship programs through the Yuwon Golf Foundation.
