The Chosun Ilbo reported that, since GOLFZON donated the world’s first golf simulator to the King Sejong Antarctic Station in 2009, the company has continued its pro bono support for 17 years this year. It also added an additional donation to the Jang Bogo Antarctic Station in 2014, and reported that GOLFZON covers the full cost of annual maintenance, supporting the leisure as well as the mental and social well-being of polar crew members conducting research in a harsh, isolated environment. The newspaper added that a researcher on site stated that screen golf is a great help in maintaining a sense of everyday life and is also used as a space for exchange with visitors from other nations’ stations.
The Chosun Ilbo reported that GOLFZON is also actively pursuing ESG management. Since establishing its ESG Committee in 2021, the company has published a sustainability report every year, and the newspaper reported that the 2025 report released this year discloses climate-related financial information in line with the TCFD recommendations for the first time, along with the results of a climate change financial risk analysis based on the IPCC and IEA scenarios.
The Chosun Ilbo reported that GOLFZON is strengthening its profile as a company that practices social responsibility while leading the screen golf industry, by combining a distinctive social contribution—its support for Antarctica—with ESG management that responds to the climate crisis.
