[China Daily] Advancing Industry-Academia Convergence and Leading Industrial Development — 2nd China University Digital Golf Education Development Forum Held
China Daily reported that the 2nd China University Digital Golf Education Development Forum was held at the GOLFZON Tianjin City Golf Course, hosted by Tianjin University of Sport and organized by GOLFZON China. The article noted that approximately 180 representatives from 106 universities nationwide — including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Renmin University of China, Tongji University, and Tianjin University of Sport — as well as dozens of industry associations, institutions, and companies attended to discuss the theme of “Developing the Digital Golf Cultural Industry and Cultivating Talent.”
The article reported that the GOLFZON Tianjin City Golf Course had been selected as an exemplary case among the “2024 Smart Sports Facilities” jointly announced by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the General Administration of Sport, and that it was introduced as a representative case of new-quality productive forces in digital sports. The article stated that one of the major achievements highlighted at this forum was the leap in the international influence of Chinese digital golf, as the GOLFZON China Open exported its broadcasting rights to South Korea’s SBS in 2025.
At the forum, it was announced that GOLFZON China would donate simulator training equipment to 20 universities, including Tsinghua University and Peking University, and that GOLFZON China and Tianjin University of Sport signed an industry-academia strategic cooperation agreement. The article reported that this forum would build a complete ecosystem of “technological innovation — industrial implementation — talent support” and serve as a starting point for Chinese digital golf to transition from a follower to a leader.
