[BBC] The Evolution of Indoor Golf Encroaching on the Domain of Outdoor Golf

2026 PGA Show (2)

The BBC reported that indoor golf is growing rapidly around the world and driving the popularization of the sport. The article noted that in Korea, indoor golf overtook on-course golf as long as a decade ago, and that across roughly 6,000 indoor simulator outlets, 87% of golfers prefer playing indoors.

In particular, it reported that a professional indoor league (GTOUR) built on GOLFZON technology has been operating for more than 10 years, and that in 2024 alone more than 100 million rounds were played worldwide using GOLFZON technology. This suggests that GOLFZON is establishing itself as a platform company that is shaping the global standard for indoor golf, going beyond being a mere equipment supplier.

The report also drew attention to the fact that GOLFZON is expanding its business toward dominating the content and league ecosystem, noting that GTOUR’s global spin-off competitions are being run for players from Asia, Europe, and the United States with a prize pool of USD 300,000.
