SEOUL, South Korea — GOLFZON Co., Ltd. (Co-CEOs Kang-soo Park and Deok-hyung Choi, KOSDAQ:121440) announced that it has appointed Sean Pyun as the new CEO of GOLFZON America, its U.S. subsidiary. The appointment is intended to further accelerate growth in the U.S. market, where GOLFZON has expanded its investment in recent years. GOLFZON regards the United States as one of the markets with the greatest growth potential going forward.

New CEO Sean Pyun has served in a variety of roles at the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) over the past 16 years. He served as Managing Director of LPGA International Business and as Vice President and Managing Director of LPGA Asia, before going on to serve as Chief Business Officer (CBO), Asia, overseeing the entirety of the region’s business.

For more than ten years, CEO Sean Pyun worked as a key commercial executive at the LPGA, generating numerous core business opportunities for the organization. He contributed to the expansion of the LPGA’s global business, including securing title sponsorship agreements across seven countries as well as for several tournaments within the United States.

Headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, GOLFZON has been developing world-class golf simulators for more than 20 years. Technology is GOLFZON’s core competitive strength: the company holds more than 360 patents related to its award-winning simulators, and its research and development organization files new patents every year. This industry-leading technology delivers the most realistic indoor golf experience on the market and serves as the foundation that solidifies GOLFZON’s global leadership.

Since its early days, GOLFZON has grown with the goal of enabling more people to enjoy golf easily and enjoyably. Today, GOLFZON operates in 63 countries worldwide, with more than 90 million rounds played annually at over 11,000 commercial facilities.

GOLFZON America, a subsidiary of GOLFZON, was established in 2016. In 2022, through a partnership with TROON, it launched Golfzon Social, a sports-pub-style complex venue. That February, it opened its first location at the Palisades Center in West Nyack, New York, followed by a second location in Scarsdale, New York, in August. It also plans to open a Brooklyn location in 2024 and a Manhattan location in 2025.

In 2022, GOLFZON America also introduced a new indoor training concept, Golfzon Range by Leadbetter. Golfzon Range provides a training environment that combines self-directed learning, real-time lessons, and unlimited driving-range access for golfers of all levels. Designed by combining GOLFZON’s advanced GDR simulator technology with Leadbetter’s world-class golf-instruction expertise, it offers existing golfers tools to improve their skills and new golfers an approachable environment in which to learn golf more quickly. It currently has a location in Little Ferry, New Jersey, and is set to open a second location in Westbury, New York, in early 2024.

In 2018, GOLFZON signed a contract with renowned golf instructor David Leadbetter and acquired the Leadbetter Golf Academy (LGA). GOLFZON Leadbetter has a network of 38 Leadbetter Golf Academies across 15 countries and more than 125 Leadbetter instructors. Its world-class lessons and distinctive programs have helped countless everyday golfers build skills they can enjoy for a lifetime, while also serving as a foundation that has produced many champions on the various professional tours and developed world-class instructors.
