GOLFZON Chairman Young-Chan Kim Named One of Golf Inc. Magazine’s ’10 Most Innovative People in Golf’

Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, USA — Golf Inc. Magazine announced that GOLFZON Chairman Young-Chan Kim has been selected as one of the 10 global golf innovators and entrepreneurs who are ‘changing the future of golf.’ The feature appeared in the May/June issue of Golf Inc. published that day.

In the article, Golf Inc. stated that it had “selected 10 people who are driving change around the world,” explaining that “their ideas focus on bringing in new golfers and keeping existing golfers engaged in the game. They have devised products that change the way golfers move around the course and created new technologies that connect players and operators more closely.”

It further described them as “innovators and entrepreneurs who are moving the golf industry forward and breathing new energy into the game.”

A former Samsung Electronics executive, Chairman Young-Chan Kim sought to launch a new business in Korea that combined his expertise in information technology with his passion for golf. He founded GOLFZON in 2000, and the company has grown into a global leader in the golf simulator market under its mission to ‘let everyone enjoy golf.’ Backed by their high quality, GOLFZON products are recognized internationally and are currently exported to more than 40 countries across Asia, North America, and Europe. In particular, the company expanded into the U.S. market in 2016.

A single-digit handicap golfer, Chairman Kim aims to play all of the world’s top 100 golf courses and remains actively involved in managing the company.

GOLFZON was also named the winner of the Editor’s Choice Award for ‘Best Simulator’ in the ‘Best Gear & Gadgets’ category in the May issue of Golf Digest, a world-renowned golf publication.
