Maeil Business Newspaper reported that the ‘2017 GTOUR 6th Anniversary’ Grand Prize awards ceremony for GTOUR, the nationwide screen golf tournament hosted by GOLFZON, was held at the Riviera Hotel in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul. It reported that Kim Hong-taek won the men’s GTOUR Grand Prize and Prize Money King title, while Jung Sun-a won the women’s WGTOUR Grand Prize and Prize Money King title, and the Rookie of the Year awards went to Park Beom-hee and Kim Young-yoon. The paper added that GTOUR, which began in 2012 as the world’s first simulation pro golf tour, had wrapped up its sixth season and established itself as a gateway for golfers at home and abroad.
Maeil Business Newspaper reported that Kim Hong-taek became the first pro golfer to conquer both the screen and the field simultaneously, winning the 2017 GTOUR regular tour championship as well as a title on the KPGA Korean Tour. It reported that Jung Sun-a won her second Grand Prize, following the 2015-2016 season, through consistent performances that placed her in the top five in every tournament she entered.
Maeil Business Newspaper reported that GOLFZON CEO Park Ki-won stated, “We will strive to establish GTOUR as the world’s best simulation golf tournament,” conveying GOLFZON’s policy to continuously elevate the status of its screen golf tour.
