The Dong-A Ilbo reported that GOLFZON is accelerating its expansion into overseas markets on the strength of the technology that has made it Korea’s No. 1 screen golf company. Following Japan, China, and the United States, the company has entered a variety of countries including Thailand, Vietnam, Dubai, South Africa, and the Philippines, with exports over the past five years reaching 1,570 units worth 25 billion won. In Thailand, the report added, GOLFZON has signed a memorandum of understanding with a local IT company and is pursuing a business combining urban driving ranges and academies.
The Dong-A Ilbo reported that, in line with China’s state-led policy to nurture golf players, GOLFZON donated simulators to the national team’s training facility, where they are being used as the official practice equipment of the Chinese national team. It noted that founder and Chairman Kim Young-chan has been appointed a member of The Royal and Ancient Golf Club (R&A) and a selection committee member for the World’s Top 100 Golf Courses.
The Dong-A Ilbo reported that GOLFZON, backed by abundant R&D personnel and patents, continues to expand its global market presence as its superior technology and convenience compared to competitors are recognized overseas as well.
