GOLFZON Newdin Group (Chairman Kim Young-chan) announced on the 5th that, as part of its social contribution activities in the field of IT education, it participated in the ‘2023 Korea SW (Software) Education Festival’ over two days on the 3rd (Fri) and 4th (Sat).

By taking part in the SW Education Festival, GOLFZON Newdin Group continued the journey of its group social contribution initiative, ‘Swing Your Dream.’ The group presented a variety of participatory programs, including sports-tech theory education combining SW and AI, a demonstration and hands-on experience of the mobile-based ‘GDR’ AI image recognition program, and an experience of the home golf simulator ‘VisionHome.’ In addition, the GOLFZON Newdin Group Swing Your Dream university student volunteer corps provided IT education tailored to the level of students visiting the booth, helping the event run smoothly.

Choi Deok-hyung, CEO of GOLFZON Newdin Holdings, said, “We are pleased to take part in the SW Education Festival,” adding, “Through GOLFZON Newdin Group’s social contribution initiative ‘Swing Your Dream,’ we will work to broadly implement IT education combined with golf.”

GOLFZON Newdin Group has continuously carried out ‘Swing Your Dream’ social contribution activities in the IT and digital fields. Starting with its participation in the digital education program ‘Hamseongsori’ and the ‘Career Experience Bus’ in June to help close regional education gaps, the group provided sports industry education combining IT and golf through an online career concert for elementary, middle, and high school students nationwide in October. Furthermore, beginning this month, it plans to conduct sports-tech education for some 200 students in Wonju, Cheongju, and mountainous regions, steadily advancing its social contribution activities in the IT field.

Through ‘Swing Your Dream,’ a social contribution brand carrying the meaning ‘We support your dream,’ GOLFZON Newdin Group is conducting a wide range of activities across golf, IT, culture, and giving. In September, it recruited GOLFZON Newdin Group’s first university student volunteer corps, the ‘Swing Your Dream Volunteer Corps,’ announcing its aspiration to expand the scope of fulfilling its corporate social responsibility.

Meanwhile, the SW Education Festival, hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Ministry of Education and organized by the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity, is a flagship event of Korea’s SW education that allows the public to easily understand and experience software (SW) and artificial intelligence (AI) education.
