GOLFZON Publishes ‘Sustainability Management Report 2023’.. Announces ESG Management Performance and Mid- to Long-Term Goals

GOLFZON Co., Ltd. (Co-CEOs Park Kang-soo and Choi Deok-hyung) announced that it has published the ‘Sustainability Management Report 2023,’ which contains core content such as the mid- to long-term goals and strategy of GOLFZON’s ESG activities.

GOLFZON, which has contributed to the screen golf craze and the expansion of the golf industry base in Korea, established an ESG Committee in October 2021 and has been pursuing new value through sustainable management that takes into account a variety of stakeholders, including GOLFZON’s shareholders and customers, business owners, and partners.

The GOLFZON ‘Sustainability Management Report 2023’ was completed with core content covering △2030 ESG mid- to long-term goals and strategy △adoption of an environmental management system (ISO 14001) △adoption of an occupational health and safety management system (ISO 45001) △stakeholder win-win cooperation activities such as support for flood-damaged stores △enhanced governance transparency in line with global standards △contribution to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN-SDGs) 17 goals, and more.

On the 26th, the company plans to hold the first ESG Committee meeting of 2023 and report on the publication of the sustainability management report. It also plans to share GOLFZON’s ESG performance in the first half of the year, reports on stakeholder materiality issues, and implementation plans for the second half.

Meanwhile, GOLFZON designated 2022 as the first year of its ESG management and has actively participated in continued business expansion to revitalize the golf industry, social contribution activities based on its management philosophy of ‘Sharing and Consideration,’ and environmental protection. Earlier, on the 3rd, the company participated in the environmental protection campaign ‘Our Green Festival,’ held over two days at Seoul Plaza, where it exhibited products manufactured through GOLFZON’s waste screen upcycling business. ‘Our Green Festival’ was an event hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government to mark the 28th World Environment Day (June 5), and GOLFZON has been participating since last year as a member company of the Zero Seoul Action Group, launched by the Seoul Metropolitan Government to respond to the climate crisis.

Choi Deok-hyung, Chairman of GOLFZON’s ESG Committee, said, “GOLFZON is doing its best to carry out social contribution campaigns for local communities and the underprivileged, and to share value with diverse stakeholders and pursue sustainability management. We will continue to do our utmost to fulfill our corporate social responsibility with consideration for customers, society, and the environment, so that we can contribute to community development.”
