The GOLFZON Foundation (Chairman Kim Young-chan) will hold the 15th Charity Golf Tournament for Cultural and Artistic Figures on September 30 at GOLFZON County Anseong H, located in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province.
The GOLFZON Foundation has held the charity golf tournament for 15 years to inherit and revitalize Korea’s unique traditional culture and arts through support for cultural and artistic figures. This year, the Foundation selected six artists—Lee Jeong-seong, Lim Jae-hyun, Choi In-young, Lee Si-on, Jang Chae-kyung, and Heo Jae-seong—to support their artistic activities, and plans to hold the 2025 Daejeon ‘Geurida, Kkumkkuda (Drawing, Dreaming)’ exhibition to showcase the works of the sponsored artists.
A total of 108 participants took part in the 15th Charity Golf Tournament for Cultural and Artistic Figures, including GOLFZON Foundation Chairman Kim Young-chan, Seokgyo Trading Chairman Lee Min-ki, writer Kim Hong-shin, and Hana Bank Deputy President Lee Dong-yeol. Beautiful contributions of talent also followed, including a performance by singer Koo Chang-mo, long beloved by the public as a member of ‘Songgolmae,’ and the participation of professionals and coaches from the GOLFZON Leadbetter Academy.
The donations collected at this tournament, together with the funds voluntarily contributed by employees of the GOLFZON Newdin Group, will all be used to support cultural and artistic figures.
GOLFZON Foundation Chairman Kim Young-chan said, “I extend my deep gratitude to everyone who took part in this charity golf tournament for the development of Korea’s culture and arts,” adding, “I hope that the vibrant creative work of our artists will serve as new motivation for the next generation of artists and, furthermore, become an opportunity to raise interest in Korea’s unique culture.”
Meanwhile, the cultural and artistic figures selected this year—Lee Jeong-seong, Lim Jae-hyun, Choi In-young, Lee Si-on, Jang Chae-kyung, and Heo Jae-seong—were fairly selected by a sponsored-artist selection committee composed of artists, professors, and others, in recognition of the creative activities they have continued through participation in art festivals and the holding of solo exhibitions.
Since its establishment in 2010, the GOLFZON Foundation has exercised a positive influence by carrying out initiatives such as support for cultural and artistic figures, cultural sharing with local communities, support for the socially underprivileged, and the preservation, inheritance, and development of iron-painted buncheong ware, all based on a management philosophy of sharing and consideration.
