GOLFZON China (CEO Park Sung-bong) announced on the 10th that it had held ‘2025 China Indoor Golf Open & GOLFZON China Open,’ a large-scale golf tournament with a total prize pool of KRW 1.9 billion, at CITY GOLF in Tianjin, China — the urban golf course it first unveiled in September of last year.

The ‘2025 China Indoor Golf Open & GOLFZON China Open’ is a tournament with a total prize pool of 10 million yuan (approximately KRW 1.9 billion), running for about six months from March 1 through qualifying rounds, main rounds, and the final round until August 31. It is the second tournament following the inaugural GOLFZON CITY GOLF China Open held at CITY GOLF in Tianjin from September 13 to 15 last year, and as the second tournament at Tianjin CITY GOLF — the urban golf course GOLFZON ambitiously unveiled — it is drawing expectations as a stage that presents new possibilities for indoor golf.

This tournament proceeds in three stages: qualifying, main, and final rounds. The qualifying round runs from March 1 to June 30, taking place on GOLFZON simulators across China, where participants may take part freely during the designated period. The main round, held from July 15 to August 15, and the final round, held over four days from August 28 to 31, will take place at CITY GOLF in China, and all 120 finalists will receive prize money.

CITY GOLF (CITY GOLF), the main venue of the tournament, is the world’s largest indoor golf facility located in Tianjin, China, an innovative arena incorporating state-of-the-art digital golf technology. To transcend the limitations of indoor golf, it features an 18-hole digital golf course that recreates an environment similar to a real field, allowing participating players to experience the immersion of playing on an outdoor field. Through GOLFZON’s latest sensor technology and precise simulation system, swing speed, ball spin, and even green conditions can be analyzed in detail, enabling precise play indoors on par with the field.

In particular, it stands out for utilizing the world’s first indoor 18-hole digital golf arena, allowing players to deliver their best performance unaffected by weather and environment. In addition, as the pace of play quickens and the dynamism of the game is maximized, not only the players but also spectators are expected to enjoy more thrilling matches.

Participating players can also earn various titles such asPopular Player‘ and ‘Strategy Masterby sharing their tournament experiences on their personal SNS. This is expected not only to boost player engagement but also to help spread public interest in indoor golf.

Hong Jin-pyo, head of GOLFZON’s CITY GOLF Business Division, said, “As indoor golf is establishing itself as a sport that anyone can easily enjoy regardless of climate or location, we expect that this tournament will allow even more people to experience the appeal of indoor golf and added, “It carries even greater significance as the second tournament held at CITY GOLF. We are reviewing various countries for the expansion of CITY GOLF, so please look forward to our future endeavors.”

Meanwhile, starting with its first location at CITY GOLF in Tianjin, China, GOLFZON China plans to continue expanding the base of indoor golf through CITY GOLF and to provide multifaceted support so that tournament participants can showcase their skills in the best possible environment.
