GOLFZON Again Honored with Golf Digest Editors’ Choice Award for ‘Best Simulator’
STERLING, Virginia, USA — GOLFZON announced that it has once again been selected as a winner in the ‘Best Simulator/Premium’ category within the ‘Best Gear & Gadgets’ section of the Editors’ Choice Award presented by Golf Digest, the world-renowned golf publication. Following its 2017 honor, GOLFZON earned a place in the category again in 2018, and it is set to be featured in the May 2018 issue of Golf Digest alongside an introduction to its cutting-edge golf simulator.
The Golf Digest Editors’ Choice Award was launched in 2016 with the aim of selecting ‘the very best in golf.’ It is a program that spotlights outstanding examples among lifestyle facilities, products, and services. Award-winning companies, including GOLFZON, are featured across Golf Digest’s print pages, digital editions, and GolfDigest.com, and may also receive additional coverage on Golf Digest Stix and social channels such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Tommy Lim, CEO of GOLFZON America, said, “We are delighted to receive this honor for the second consecutive year from the world’s most widely read and trusted golf publication,” adding, “As GOLFZON continues to grow in the U.S. market, we are now able to introduce GOLFZON and our diverse range of golf simulator products and games to even more golfers, clubs, and businesses.” He continued, “We are grateful to Golf Digest for recognizing the excellence of the GOLFZON simulator, and this award is a meaningful achievement that carries forward GOLFZON’s corporate philosophy of allowing everyone to enjoy a more enjoyable golf experience.”
Golf Digest is the most widely read golf publication in the world, championing the message ‘THINK YOUNG/PLAY HARD.’ This aligns with GOLFZON’s global direction of bringing golf—through fun, lessons, and competition—to more aspiring and passionate golfers.
According to a 2015 GOLFZON survey, 80% of new golfers in Korea got their start in golf through simulation golf. This includes the path by which numerous PGA TOUR and LPGA players were first introduced to the game. In addition, according to the National Golf Foundation’s 2017 Golf Industry Overview, off-course golf participation rose 11% in 2016, with the trend driven by popular facilities such as Topgolf and Flying Tee, as well as indoor simulator venues like PGA Tour Superstore and GOLFZON.
GOLFZON plans to officially launch its new ‘Vision Compact’ simulator this month. First unveiled at the PGA Merchandise Show earlier this year, Vision Compact is a model that delivers GOLFZON’s highly acclaimed hardware in a smaller size, at a reasonable price, and with easy installation. At the same time, it retains the full breadth of features of the GOLFZON simulator recognized by the Golf Digest Editors’ Choice Award.
