- GOLFZON America, GOLFZON’s U.S. subsidiary, forms a partnership with global golf management company TROON to expand the U.S. indoor golf industry
- Based on the strategic alliance, the company plans to expand related businesses, including opening additional ‘ZSTRICT’ locations (integrated golf cultural spaces combining F&B)
- Offering screen golf round experiences, holding regular tournaments, and providing F&B facilities and a wide range of entertainment that can be enjoyed at indoor golf venues

GOLFZON America (CEO Lim Dong-jin) announced on the 20th that it signed an MOU with global golf management company ‘TROON’ to expand the U.S. indoor golf entertainment industry at TROON’s U.S. headquarters on the 18th (Monday), local time.
GOLFZON America, GOLFZON’s U.S. subsidiary, plans to fully roll out its ‘ZSTRICT’ business, an integrated golf cultural space, based on the partnership with TROON. TROON will handle work across store openings and operations as a whole, including pre-development tasks and project management for opening new ZSTRICT locations, golf lessons, and the operation of food and beverage facilities. Using the success of the first location, which opened in 2019 at ‘Chelsea Piers Connecticut (CPCT; a large sports center)’ in Connecticut, as a model, the two companies plan to open additional locations across New York State in 2022.
Since the opening of its first location, ZSTRICT has provided a wide range of services that can be experienced in indoor golf and has gained broad popularity across all ages and demographics. Visitors can enjoy screen golf rounds on about 90 world-famous golf courses such as Pebble Beach, Bethpage, and St. Andrews, and by accessing the ZSTRICT mobile app, they can view their screen golf rounds and swings in high definition in real time. In addition, ZSTRICT, which is built as a tournament-style venue, has been holding regular tournaments and offers golfers the fun of participation by running events that award prize money to golfers who achieve an eagle, albatross, or hole-in-one through Challenge Mode. According to GOLFZON America, the total prize money paid out to date through the first ZSTRICT location amounts to more than approximately USD 65,000 (about KRW 77 million). It also draws attention with its F&B service, which lets guests enjoy a diverse range of seasonal menus including fusion dishes and various salads.
Lim Dong-jin, CEO of GOLFZON America, said, “According to the National Golf Foundation (NGF), the number of golfers enjoying golf at indoor golf venues such as ZSTRICT is on par with the number of golfers playing on the course, and we expect this trend to continue going forward,” adding, “Signing a partnership with TROON, a renowned U.S. golf management company, will help accelerate GOLFZON’s business expansion in the U.S. market and greatly assist in expanding and spreading ZSTRICT across the United States.”
TROON CEO Tim Schantz said, “We are honored to collaborate with GOLFZON, the leader in the global golf simulator market,” adding, “ZSTRICT’s immersive indoor golf experience, created with GOLFZON’s state-of-the-art simulator technology, will appeal to golfers and non-golfers alike, and we expect the partnership between the two companies to produce synergy like a hole-in-one.”
