- Kim Young-chan, Chairman of the Yuwon Golf Foundation: ‘We plan to provide continued support so that future golf talents can grow into world-class players’

The Yuwon Golf Foundation (Chairman Kim Young-chan) announced on the 3rd that it had awarded ‘Golf Prospects Scholarships’ totaling 45 million won to 26 promising young golfers in the Jeju region.
The Yuwon Golf Foundation has continued its golf prospects scholarship program to encourage the efforts and achievements of promising young golfers and to create an environment where they can fully demonstrate their abilities. This selection of Jeju scholarship recipients was carried out through a fair and transparent process based on the results of the ‘2026 GOLFZON County Ora Cup Jeon-do Junior Golf Championship,’ held from April 29 to 30. As a result, a total of 26 scholarship recipients were ultimately selected, including 8 in the elementary division, 8 in the middle school division, and 10 in the high school division.
Drawing on Jeju’s pristine natural environment and thriving golf industry, the Yuwon Golf Foundation continues its efforts to advance Korean golf through active support in the region. The foundation has run a scholarship program for promising young golfers in Jeju since 2021, and last year it actively supported the development of regional sports talent by increasing the number of scholarship recipients.
Lee Si-eun, who achieved outstanding results in this tournament and was selected as a high school division scholarship recipient, shared her thoughts: “It is all the more meaningful to have experienced the beautiful course at GOLFZON County Ora and to have achieved such good results. With the support of the Yuwon Golf Foundation, I hope to grow into an excellent golfer and become a world-class player.”
Kim Young-chan, Chairman of the Yuwon Golf Foundation, stated, “The Yuwon Golf Foundation continues to provide systematic support so that promising young golfers can take one step closer to their dreams,” adding, “Going forward, we plan to provide continued support so that future golf talents can grow into world-class players.”
To discover promising golf talent and advance the golf industry, the Yuwon Golf Foundation operates a variety of programs in addition to the Golf Prospects Scholarship, including △support for international tournaments △selection of high-achieving youth scholarship recipients △publication of the Korea Golf Industry White Paper. In June, the foundation plans to continue its ‘Golf Prospects Global Golf Tournament Support Program,’ which fully covers the costs of participating in international tournaments to expand promising golfers’ experience in global competitions, as well as its ‘Golf Prospects Scholarship Program,’ which provides scholarships to promising young golfers in the Jeollabuk-do region.
Meanwhile, through its social contribution brand ‘SWING YOUR DREAM,’ the GOLFZON Group continues to provide systematic support across various fields such as golf, IT, culture, and sharing, putting into practice its management philosophy of sharing and consideration.
