Saihan District in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, is a core area of the city. As a hub where administration, commerce, and culture intersect, it stands as a key axis of urban development. CICC Universal City (中海环宇天街), Saihan’s new commercial landmark, is drawing attention as a space where trendy consumption and a premium lifestyle coexist. On March 22, a special new venue opened in this vibrant commercial district: GOLFZON PARK Hohhot Saihan (领尊高尔夫室内训练馆). Combining digital technology with a premium experience, this space is presenting a new sports lifestyle culture to the cities of northern China.

Designated as the official training ground for the Land Rover golf team and as a golf introductory education base for Yingboen (英伯恩) International Kindergarten, GOLFZON PARK Saihan fills a gap in Inner Mongolia’s premium indoor golf market while serving a variety of roles at once. It is a space for skilled golfers to sharpen their game, a premium business networking venue, and a starting point where children first encounter golf. By introducing world-class indoor golf equipment and an education system, it allows the region’s business leaders, sports enthusiasts, and young families to enjoy golf year-round in the heart of the city.

GOLFZON PARK Saihan spans approximately 300㎡ and features two consecutive hitting bays and one VIP room. Upon entering, visitors are first captivated by a sophisticated, business-style main hall. Streamlined lighting, metallic accents, generous open space, and wood materials are harmoniously arranged to create an atmosphere that is at once minimalist and luxurious, forming a space where a sense of technology and a sense of sport coexist. The VIP room incorporates the local culture by combining elements of the traditional Mongolian ger (yurt) with a simulator. Leather sofas, carpets, a custom wine cabinet, and a smart lighting system further enhance the ambiance of a premium social space. Designed to accommodate a range of purposes—from business meetings and gatherings with friends to family leisure—it naturally connects sports, business, and entertainment experiences.

As the very first GOLFZON PARK store in Inner Mongolia, it also serves as a base for spreading professional golf culture. The store is equipped with a total of three pieces of advanced GOLFZON equipment, including one TWOVISION NX simulator and two GDR systems, enabling visitors to vividly experience famous courses from around the world while precisely analyzing the data from every shot.

In addition, in collaboration with a Korean KPGA professional coach with 30 years of experience, the store runs tailored lesson programs by level—from beginners to advanced players—and also offers personalized education services. Through this, it delivers a differentiated experience that combines a professional golf education system with personalized service.

Mr. Liu (刘), the investor in GOLFZON PARK Saihan and the GOLFZON China distributor for Inner Mongolia, views the space not as a mere golf facility but as a strategic base for reshaping Inner Mongolia’s golf ecosystem. In particular, paying attention to the gap in the youth golf market in the Hohhot area, he has partnered with Yingboen International Kindergarten to establish a golf introductory education base operated by a professional coaching staff. He is also expanding the customer experience in a way that “connects families through children” by incorporating programs in which parents and children can participate together into the curriculum, gradually easing the existing perception that golf is a difficult and inaccessible sport.

Considering the reality that there is only a single outdoor golf course in the Inner Mongolia region, Mr. Liu is also pursuing a strategy that links indoor and outdoor facilities. By partnering with an outdoor driving range in Hohhot to operate integrated membership benefits and joint tournament programs, he plans to make up for the region’s shortage of golf infrastructure. He is also expanding the store into a premium community space by collaborating with the local chamber of commerce and businesses to host seminars, group events, and business meetings.

Mr. Liu stated, “Going forward, there is more than enough potential to open more—and larger—GOLFZON PARK stores,” adding, “The Saihan store is only the beginning.” He is also actively working to expand new applications for indoor golf. He is currently pursuing a project to build “mobile golf experience zones” in venues such as high-end shopping mall VIP lounges and Hohhot Baita International Airport, and he envisions a self-service model in which a simulator is installed in a VIP lounge so that anyone can use it instantly simply by scanning a QR code. This is a strategy to provide a “shared golf” experience by targeting customers’ short windows of leisure time. In addition, he plans to expand the installation of simulators across a variety of spaces, such as office buildings and mixed-use commercial complexes, and to continuously advance education programs and community operations to build a golf ecosystem that encompasses youth, business elites, and the general public.

GOLFZON PARK’s “Hundred Cities, Thousand Stores” project is gradually transforming the structure of China’s golf industry. Expanding in various forms—from established golf cities to emerging golf cities, and from flagship stores spanning thousands of square meters to community-focused stores and partnership-based stores—it is creating an environment in which more people can experience golf with a lower barrier to entry. At the same time, it is serving as a foundation for creating new business opportunities amid the growth of the digital golf industry.
