Media Coverage China

Sohu (搜狐) reported that GOLFZON China (高尔夫尊中国), a Chinese digital golf company, drew global attention at the U.S. PGA Show with its innovative urban indoor golf course.

The article noted that during the exhibition, the company signed urban golf facility export agreements with two U.S. firms, Nessie Capital and Groundplay, and plans to build GOLFZON urban golf courses in Chicago, USA, and Vancouver, Canada. The article emphasized the historic significance of this as the first instance of a Chinese digital golf facility being exported to the United States and Canada, traditional golf powerhouses.

It reported that GOLFZON China’s CITY GOLF delivers an immersive golf experience within roughly 20,000 square meters of urban space—just 5% of the area of a traditional golf course—and can operate 365 days a year without constraints such as season, weather, or environment. It also reported that the 5th GOLFZON China Open, for the first time in 2026, is opening its qualifying rounds to 65 countries worldwide and surpassing total prize money of 20 million yuan, emerging as a global digital golf tournament.

The article stated that GOLFZON China possesses an entire industry ecosystem spanning from smart equipment manufacturing to venue operation and tournament IP development, and that its related technical standards are being benchmarked in multiple countries. With China’s State Council having set a goal of reaching a total sports industry scale of 7 trillion yuan by 2030, it reported that GOLFZON China’s moves demonstrate that China is advancing toward leading global standards in the digital golf field.
