GOLFZON Forms Strategic Partnership with Golf Genius to Support Tournament and League Operations in the Simulator Market

WAYNE, Pa. and CHANTILLY, Va. — Golf Genius, a global leader in cloud-based solutions for golf professionals, golf facilities, tours and associations, and GOLFZON, a global leader in golf simulator technology, announced a new strategic partnership to elevate the competition and league experience in the rapidly growing golf simulator market.

Under the partnership, Golf Genius has been designated as the Official Tournament Management Solution across GOLFZON’s leading competitive platforms, including the GOLFZON Tour. GOLFZON, in turn, has been named Golf Genius’s Preferred Golf Simulator Partner. As leaders in their respective fields, the two companies plan to help simulator operators leverage the best tools, education and competitive programs, thereby contributing to greater simulator bay utilization, expanded customer engagement and repeat visits. GOLFZON currently operates more than 300 locations in the United States and more than 12,697 locations worldwide.

Beginning this year, Golf Genius and GOLFZON will collaborate across marketing, education and competitive programs to support leagues, tournaments and events run at GOLFZON-powered facilities. Golf Genius provides the industry’s most comprehensive tournament and league management platform — covering registration, scoring, player rankings and a wide range of formats — while GOLFZON continues to deliver best-in-class simulator technology and immersive play environments.

George Hansen, Vice President of Business Development at Golf Genius and head of its simulator business, said, “Simulator golf has established itself as a year-round market that grows alongside and complements green-grass golf,” adding, “Operators are increasingly focused on leagues and events that can build community and generate stable, recurring revenue.” He continued, “By combining world-class simulator technology with a proven tournament management platform through our partnership with GOLFZON, running competitive play becomes far easier, and golfers can be offered a more enjoyable and immersive experience.”

Leagues and tournaments are regarded as key factors in driving customer loyalty and utilization at simulator facilities. However, many operators face operational challenges in managing diverse formats, running weekly schedules and communicating efficiently with golfers. Through this partnership, participating facilities will be able to leverage tools and operational know-how that help address these challenges. The combination of the two companies’ leading technologies is expected to help attract more participants — from casual social leagues to large-scale competitive tournaments.

As part of the agreement, the two companies plan to jointly pursue co-hosted webinars, integrated marketing campaigns, customer education programs and the sponsorship of major competitive events, including the GOLFZON Tour. In addition, as they continue to invest in the future of simulator golf, the companies have established a foundation for ongoing collaboration that includes exploring potential system integrations going forward.
