A final field of 24 teams from the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Mexico will go head-to-head through GOLFZON’s Network Play feature.

CHANTILLY, Va. — GOLFZON, a global leader in golf simulator technology, announced the start of the round-robin division stage of ‘GOLFZON Tour Season 2,’ a competitive simulator league open to golfers of all skill levels worldwide. The final 24 teams have been organized into four regional divisions and will face off against one another through GOLFZON’s Network Play. Once the round-robin matches conclude, the top two teams from each division will advance to the final stage, a single-elimination tournament, to determine the Season 2 champion.

The round-robin matches run every Tuesday at 7 p.m. local time from September 16 through October 14. Teams competing from 16 U.S. states as well as the United Kingdom, Canada, and Mexico will play on prestigious courses including Harbour Town, Bethpage Black, Spyglass Hill, Tobacco Road, and Aviara Golf Club. Through GOLFZON’s real-time Network Play feature, participants can compete while viewing their opponents’ scores, ball positions, and live standings on screen.

“It has been incredibly rewarding to watch the GOLFZON Tour grow in Season 2,” said Dean Schneider, Tournament Director at GOLFZON. “Our goal this year was to expand the scale of the competition and build a global competitive platform that showcases GOLFZON’s immersive indoor golf experience. The round-robin division stage brings that vision to life by allowing teams from around the world to face off in real time.”

GOLFZON Tour Season 2 drew 72 teams from 27 states and five countries competing for a total prize purse of $300,000. This marks a significant expansion from Season 1, in which 12 teams from nine states and four countries competed for a total purse of $150,000.

Twenty-two teams advanced from the qualifying stage, with standout performances from Tee Times (Rochester Hills, Mich.) and last year’s champion Golf Envy (Covina, Calif.). To complete the final field of 24 teams, GOLFZON awarded sponsor invitations to Down the Line Sportscenter (Annandale, Va.) and The Post (New York, N.Y.).

Tee Times and Golf Envy, who met in last year’s final, have continued their strong play this year, forming a budding rivalry. In this year’s individual qualifying, players from each team claimed victories. Golf Envy’s Michael Ordona shot 14-under at Forest Dunes in June, while Tee Times’ Brandon Barrows posted the best score of 17-under at The Ocean Course at Hokuala in July. Each player received $10,000 in prize money.

Once the round-robin division stage concludes, the top eight teams will advance to the single-elimination tournament beginning October 28. The semifinals will be held on November 8 at GOLFZON Social, newly opening in Oak Brook, Ill., just outside Chicago, and the championship is scheduled for November 22 at GOLFZON’s West Coast showroom in Los Angeles.

Fans and participants can follow every match in real time through live scoring provided by Golf Genius. More information about GOLFZON Tour Season 2 is available on the official website.
