GOLFZON to Host Closest-to-the-Pin Contest and Unveil Arcade Software at CES in Las Vegas

Press Release America

STERLING, Virginia, USA — GOLFZON announced that it will hold a Nearest to the Pin contest and showcase the new ARCADE software for its globally recognized golf simulators at CES, taking place from January 9 to 12, 2018, in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. GOLFZON is the only golf simulator company participating in this year’s CES, and will be located at Booth 44322 in the Sports Zone of the Sands Expo, Halls A-D.

Hosted by the Consumer Technology Association of the United States, CES is a global consumer electronics and technology exhibition held every January in Las Vegas. The 2017 event drew 184,000 visitors and 4,000 exhibiting companies, and a similar or even larger turnout is expected in 2018.

The Nearest to the Pin contest will be held daily from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., with the awards ceremony at 2:30 p.m. Participants will take on an approach shot at the famous par-3 7th hole of Pebble Beach Golf Links, with each participant given two attempts. Every participant will receive two GOLFZON-branded Titleist golf balls, and the daily winner will be awarded an Apple iPad Pro.

Alongside the contest, GOLFZON will also offer hands-on experiences with its ARCADE software, which lets players enjoy golf in new ways. The software offers a variety of golf-based games such as darts and block golf, delivering a play experience different from a traditional round. Videos of GOLFZON’s baseball simulation game Strikezon and its golf GPS system GolfWith will also be screened. DrivingTalk, a new radar sensor that measures a range of statistics at the outdoor driving range, will be on display at the booth as well.

Tommy Lim, CEO of GOLFZON America, said, “With consumers showing keen interest in the latest technological advances, CES in Las Vegas is the ideal stage to introduce GOLFZON simulators to people interested in golf and new technology,” adding, “Simulator golf has played an important role in introducing more people to golf in the United States.” He continued, “Advanced technology is being used more and more in home entertainment as well as in bar and restaurant settings, and products like the new ARCADE software demonstrate the expansion potential of GOLFZON simulators.”

GOLFZON launched the first GOLFZON America Simulator Championship in mid-December at partner locations across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Winners will be selected in a total of eight categories, with the final results scheduled to be announced on Sunday, January 14, 2018.

GOLFZON will also participate on a large scale in the PGA Merchandise Show, held from January 23 to 26, 2018, in Orlando, Florida, USA. On Tuesday, January 23, the company will take part in Demo Day for the first time, and from January 24 to 26 it will showcase two simulators at Booth 3251 in the exhibition hall of the Orange County Convention Center.
