GOLFZON NEWDIN Group Holds Blood Donation Campaign to Mark Its Founding Anniversary

GOLFZON NEWDIN Group (Chairman Kim Young-chan) held the ‘G-HEART-U (GOLFZON NEWDIN Group Heart U) Blood Donation Campaign,’ in which group company employees took part voluntarily, at GOLFZON Tower Seoul on Tue., 5/2.

The campaign was organized to commemorate the upcoming ‘World Red Cross Day’ and the 23rd founding anniversary of GOLFZON NEWDIN Group (May 8), and to extend a helping hand to childhood cancer patients faced with a blood supply crisis amid the prolonged impact of COVID-19.

The ‘G-HEART-U Blood Donation Campaign’ will run from May 2 through June in the Seoul and Daejeon regions respectively, and on this day employees from GOLFZON NEWDIN Group affiliates including △ GOLFZON NEWDIN Holdings △ GOLFZON △ GDR Academy and △ NEWDIN Contents took part in the donation. Following the donation of some 100 blood donation certificates last year, GOLFZON NEWDIN Group is now holding the campaign for the second consecutive year, and the certificates will be donated to the Korea Childhood Leukemia Foundation, which GOLFZON has supported for ten years.

GOLFZON NEWDIN Group presented the employees who participated in the donation with a ‘Zanmang Loopy Ball Pouch,’ planned and produced directly by its affiliate GOLFZON Commerce Co., Ltd., the No. 1 player in market share in the golf equipment distribution business.

Choi Deok-hyung, CEO of GOLFZON NEWDIN Holdings, said, “I am delighted to hold this meaningful social contribution campaign for the second consecutive year to mark our founding anniversary,” adding, “I thank the many employees who took part, and I hope that, as the ‘G-HEART-U’ slogan suggests, the group companies’ warm love and messages of encouragement will reach the childhood cancer patients who are still struggling in the aftermath of COVID-19.”

Through the G-HEART-U campaign, GOLFZON NEWDIN Group carries out a variety of social contribution activities each year, including △ year-end group volunteer work △ support of digital devices for underserved groups △ the delivery of neighborly love donations △ blood donation campaigns and △ crisis support programs for partner companies and employees.

Meanwhile, in line with its management philosophy of sharing and consideration, GOLFZON NEWDIN Group is fulfilling its corporate social responsibility through social contribution activities across diverse fields, including △ nurturing golf prospects and players △ hosting the KPGA regular tour to contribute to the development of Korea’s golf industry △ creating jobs for underserved groups and △ supporting and volunteering for vulnerable members of local communities. In 2019, the company received the ‘Gangnam-gu Office Mayor’s Award’ in recognition of its contributions to social contribution activities in the Gangnam-gu area, and since 2020 it has donated 500 million won in neighborly love funds to the Community Chest of Daejeon each year, joining the gold membership of the ‘Honored Sharing Company’ in 2021, actively putting love for one’s neighbors into practice.
