GOLFZON Co., Ltd. (Co-CEOs Park Kang-soo and Choi Deok-hyung) announced on the 9th that from March 10 to May 31, it will hold the domestic qualifiers for ‘2026 GOLFZON CHINA OPEN (GOLFZON CHINA OPEN),’ a global tournament open to all golfers from pros to amateurs.

Since 2022, GOLFZON has held screen golf tournaments to promote screen golf in the Chinese market and expand the local golfing population. From 2024, the company began operating it as an annual tournament under the nameGOLFZON CHINA OPEN, expanding the prize money and scale at CITY GOLF, an urban golf course platform that fuses the strengths of screen and field golf.

This year, the ‘2026 GOLFZON CHINA OPEN is a global screen golf tour, with the total prize pool doubled from 2025 to 20 million yuan (4.25 billion KRW), and a winner’s prize of 5 million yuan (1.05 billion KRW), marking a substantial expansion in prize money. Golfers from around the world—from Korea and China to Asia, Europe, and the Americas—will take part, advancing through online and offline qualifiers and main rounds in each region, with the finals held at a CITY GOLF venue in China in December.

The Korean qualifiers run from March 10 to May 31, over about 3 months, held online at GOLFZON stores nationwide, divided into a general division and a pro division. The tournament courses are Mission HillsBlackstone and Mission HillsWorld Cup in China, and the top finishers are selected by combining the best scores from 2 courses in each division. Through the qualifiers, a total of 300 players will earn entry to the main round—the top 200 from the pro division (GTOUR professionals and holders of pro credentials such as KPGA, KLPGA, USGTF) and the top 100 from the general division.

The main round is scheduled to be held offline in July and October at the GOLFZON CITY GOLF Yanji branch in China, and, as in the qualifiers, will be split into a general division and a pro division to select the finalists through 2 rounds of stroke play. In addition, to showcase GOLFZON’s simulator technology and the appeal of a screen golf tour staged at CITY GOLF urban golf courses to global golf fans, the event will be broadcast live worldwide simultaneously across various channels.

Son Jang-soon, head of GOLFZON’s New Business Division, said,This GOLFZON CHINA OPEN is a large-scale global screen golf tour ambitiously prepared by GOLFZON, a global golf total-platform and screen golf company, and we expect it to become a place of exchange for golfers around the world, both pros and amateurs,” adding,Through this global tournament held at CITY GOLF, which combines the strengths of both screen and field golf, we hope to showcase GOLFZON’s simulator technology and let even more golfers experience the appeal and advantages of indoor golf.”

Meanwhile, together with its joint venture GOLFZON China, GOLFZON plans to continue wide-ranging support—including expanding the foundation of indoor golf based on CITY GOLF’s first China location, the Tianjin branch, and its second China location, the Yanji branch, and creating a global screen golf tour environment where golfers around the world can come together.
