- Designating 2025 as the inaugural year of user privacy protection, the company will continuously strengthen its information security framework to build a service environment that customers can use with confidence

GOLFZON Co., Ltd. (Co-CEOs Park Kang-soo and Choi Deok-hyung) announced on the 17th that on November 20, it became the first in the screen golf industry to earn ISMS-P (Personal Information & Information Security Management System) certification from the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), a statutory certification body.
The ‘ISMS-P certification’ is Korea’s highest-level information security certification scheme, jointly administered by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Personal Information Protection Commission. To obtain the certification, an organization must satisfy a total of 101 certification items covering the establishment and operation of an information security management system, protection measure requirements, and requirements for each stage of personal data processing.
Following its Information Security Management System (ISMS) certification in 2013, GOLFZON has, through this ISMS-P certification, been able to conduct an in-depth analysis and improvement of its personal information protection, and by establishing an advanced security framework it can now provide even safer services to its customers.
This year, GOLFZON significantly strengthened its security organization by recruiting an external security expert as Chief Privacy Officer (CPO) and hiring additional new staff. By overhauling its security framework with a more than fivefold increase in privacy-related investment compared with 2023, the company has built an intelligence-based incident response system, including enhanced AD (Active Directory) security, advanced document encryption, blocking of harmful websites, and an APT (Advanced Persistent Threat) prevention system. In addition, through situation-appropriate information security training and security monitoring, the company is carrying out systematic and continuous company-wide efforts to protect customers’ personal information.
Shin Dong-hoon, GOLFZON’s Chief Privacy Officer, stated, “GOLFZON has designated 2025 as the inaugural year of user privacy protection, and will continue to strengthen its information security framework so that customers who love golf can use GOLFZON services with peace of mind.”
Meanwhile, GOLFZON’s ISMS-P certification, the first in the screen golf industry, is expected to serve as an important milestone in raising the overall security standards of the screen golf industry to a new level.
