GOLFZON County (CEO Suh Sang-hyun), a total golf course service company, announced on the 17th that it has begun operating Egmont CC, located in Bogae-myeon, Anseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, which it acquired on November 8 of last year, starting this year.
Opened in July 2022, Egmont CC is a public golf course that has shown steady growth thanks to its state-of-the-art facilities and pleasant atmosphere. It comprises a total of 27 holes across three courses (Eagle, Mont, and Hidden). Set against pristine natural surroundings known to be home to eagles, a natural monument species, the course stands out for its nature-friendly appeal. With a wide range of course difficulty that golfers from beginners to advanced players can enjoy, and a nature-friendly course design that preserves the living mountainous terrain, it has earned great affection from golfers.
GOLFZON County plans to designate and operate Egmont CC as a flagship golf course in the Seoul metropolitan area that offers high-end service. To differentiate the brand from other golf courses, the company will keep the name Egmont CC as is, dropping the “GOLFZON County” prefix that has been added to the names of its other operated courses.
GOLFZON County plans to apply its expertise in successful golf course operation and course management to Egmont CC, while also introducing services such as its shot-information service “Air Motion” at the course, taking the lead in building a distinctive on-course culture that only a golf course operating chain can offer.
Through the acquisition of Egmont CC, GOLFZON County now operates a total of 19 golf courses nationwide (6 in the Gyeonggi and Chungcheong regions, 7 in the Gyeongsang region, 5 in the Jeolla region, and 1 in the Jeju region). Of these, it owns 14 and has successfully signed lease-operation agreements for 5, continuously expanding its market share and establishing itself as Korea’s largest golf course specialist.
Suh Sang-hyun, CEO of GOLFZON County, said, “It is meaningful to be able to offer a distinctive round experience by adding GOLFZON County’s differentiated services to Egmont CC, which was created against pristine natural surroundings that are home to eagles,” adding, “GOLFZON County will continue to support the leadership of a safe and healthy golf course culture by building a smart golf course culture that combines our own golf course operating expertise with IT services.”
Reservations and detailed information about Egmont CC can be found through Tee Scanner, the smart golf reservation platform operated by GOLFZON County, as well as the GOLFZON County website or mobile app (APP).
Meanwhile, GOLFZON County is Korea’s leading total golf course service company, providing all golf course-related services including golf course operation, golf course M&A, development, and booking. Through its own new golf course culture built on self-rounds and IT integration, it is leading the popularization of golf so that anyone can visit with ease.
