The GOLFZON Foundation (Chairman Kim Young-chan) announced on the 21st that it had held the 16th Charity Golf Tournament for Artists at GOLFZON County Anseong H on the 20th.

Since 2010, the GOLFZON Foundation has held charity golf tournaments to provide opportunities to artists who, due to practical hardships, have been unable to fully demonstrate their outstanding artistry, and to further the inheritance and revitalization of Korea’s unique traditional culture and arts. For this round of sponsorship, six artists were selected—Kim Man-seop, Kim An-seon, Shin Hyung-sik, Ahn Byung-guk, Yoon Seung-won, and Won Daniel—and the foundation plans to actively support their creative activities.

The 16th Charity Golf Tournament was attended by a total of 108 people, including GOLFZON Foundation Chairman Kim Young-chan, Seokgyo Trading Chairman Lee Min-gi, and writer Kim Hong-shin, adding deeper meaning to the spirit of giving. In addition, KPGA and KLPGA primary tour players such as Pro Kim Hong-taek and Pro Hwang Yu-min took part, delivering warm inspiration through their talent donations.

A variety of side events were also held, including celebratory performances and hole events. The jazz band ‘Jehee Quartet,’ which has proven its skills at numerous jazz festivals, delivered a profound performance, moving all attendees who shared in the foundation’s mission.

In addition, at the holes named after the GOLFZON Foundation’s artist sponsorship programs—△the Iron-Painted Buncheong Ware Hole △the Oryongyo Hole △the Draw, Dream Hole △the Sharing and Consideration Hole—winners in each category were presented with abundant prizes such as award-winning works from the Iron-Painted Buncheong Ware Contest, GOLFZON County round passes, a Bridgestone iron set, and works by artists participating in the Draw, Dream exhibition, adding to the fun of the round.

At the GOLFZON County Anseong H clubhouse, works by the sponsored artists—who are active as the fine-art project group ‘Maetjip’ pursuing pure art—were exhibited, showcasing their distinctive expression and artistry.

The donations collected at this tournament and the funds voluntarily contributed by GOLFZON Group employees will all be used to support artists.

GOLFZON Foundation Chairman Kim Young-chan said, “I sincerely thank everyone who joined this charity golf tournament. I believe your warm interest and encouragement will be a great source of strength for the continued development of the art world,” adding, “The GOLFZON Foundation will continue to actively support the growth and creative activities of artists going forward.”
