Kim Young-chan, Chairman of the GOLFZON Newdin Group<\/span><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span>Renowned pro golfers who came up through the Yuwon Golf Foundation<\/span><span>(<\/span><span>Chairman Kim Young-chan<\/span><span>) <\/span><span>\u2014 which has nurtured Korea\u2019s promising golf talents and served as a cradle of global golf prospects \u2014 have continued to donate to the Yuwon Golf Foundation, asking that the funds be used for their junior players<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span>On the 3rd, the Yuwon Golf Foundation received a <\/span><span>40<\/span><span> million won<\/span><span> <\/span><span>scholarship from<\/span><span> <\/span><span>Korea Professional Golfers\u2019 Association<\/span><span>(KPGA) <\/span><span>player Jang Yu-bin<\/span><span>(22, <\/span><span>Shinhan Financial Group<\/span><span>)<\/span><span>, and on the 7th, it received a<\/span><span> 10<\/span><span> million won<\/span><span> <\/span><span>scholarship raised by<\/span><span> <\/span><span>Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association<\/span><span>(KLPGA) <\/span><span>player Lee Je-young<\/span><span>(23, MG<\/span><span> Community Credit Cooperatives<\/span><span>)<\/span><span> and her fan club <\/span><span>\u2018<\/span><span>Lovely Je-young<\/span><span>\u2019<\/span><span>. <\/span><span>A presentation ceremony for a<\/span><span> 10<\/span><span> million won scholarship jointly raised by player Sung Yu-jin<\/span><span>(24, <\/span><span>Hanwha Q CELLS<\/span><span>)<\/span><span> and her supporters\u2019 association is also scheduled for sometime next January<\/span><span>. <\/span><span>The full amount of the scholarships delivered to the Yuwon Golf Foundation will be used to nurture aspiring young golfers<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span>The Yuwon Golf Foundation was established in <\/span><span>2015<\/span><span> by Chairman Kim Young-chan of the GOLFZON Newdin Group, who pooled his private funds to nurture elite golfers and advance the golf industry. Since its founding year, the foundation has carried out programs including the <\/span><span>\u2018<\/span><span>Aspiring Young Golfer Scholarship Sponsorship<\/span><span>\u2019 <\/span><span>to create an environment in which prospects can devote themselves to golf; from <\/span><span>2017<\/span><span>, the <\/span><span>\u2018<\/span><span>International Tournament Entry Fee Support<\/span><span>\u2019<\/span><span> to broaden young golfers\u2019 international experience and the <\/span><span>\u2018<\/span><span>Outstanding Junior Athlete Scholarship Selection<\/span><span>\u2019<\/span><span> to provide motivation and a sense of achievement by selecting players who serve as role models for their peers; and from <\/span><span>2020<\/span><span>, the <\/span><span>\u2018<\/span><span>Professional Golfer Support Program<\/span><span>\u2019 <\/span><span>to broaden the foundations of Korean golf<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span>Over roughly the <\/span><span>10<\/span><span> years since its launch, the foundation has raised about <\/span><span>11.3<\/span><span> billion won and used it to nurture aspiring young golfers and advance the golf industry<\/span><span>, <\/span><span>with the number of beneficiaries reaching some <\/span><span>1,000<\/span><span> players. <\/span><span>Players who received support for lessons and training camps during their amateur years have now grown into world-class athletes, establishing the foundation as a gateway for promising golf talents<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span>The Yuwon Golf Foundation\u2019s transparent and fair selection and sponsorship have inspired pro players to join in<\/span><span>. <\/span><span>Following a donation by player Choi Hye-jin in <\/span><span>2019<\/span><span> and donations by player Sung Yu-jin in<\/span><span> 2022<\/span><span> and<\/span><span> 2024<\/span><span>, a virtuous cycle has now taken shape in which Yuwon Golf Foundation \u201ckids\u201d have grown up and give back to support the growth and development of their junior amateur players<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span>At the donation ceremony held on the <\/span><span>7<\/span><span>th, player Lee Je-young said, <\/span><span>\u201c<\/span><span>During my youth, I was able to learn the joy of giving by competing in the Yuwon Golf Foundation\u2019s pro-am golf tournaments<\/span><span>\u201d<\/span><span> and added, <\/span><span>\u201c<\/span><span>Now I intend to take the lead in sincere giving for the junior players who will help lead the golf industry together with me<\/span><span>\u201d<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span><span>Kim Young-chan, Chairman of the Yuwon Golf Foundation, said,<\/span><\/span><span><span> \u201c<\/span><\/span><span><span>I believe our players\u2019 donations will play a meaningful role in helping their juniors grow while dreaming of a better future<\/span><\/span><span><span>\u201d<\/span><\/span><span><span> and added,<\/span><\/span><span><span> \u201c<\/span><\/span><span><span>Moved by the warm spirit of these donations, the Yuwon Golf Foundation will also generously devote its resources to advancing the golf industry and nurturing golf talent<\/span><\/span><span><span>\u201d<\/span><\/span><span><span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span><span>Meanwhile<\/span><\/span><span><span>, <\/span><\/span><span>player Jang Yu-bin, who made this donation, stood out from his youth and was selected as a regional aspiring young golfer scholarship recipient from<\/span><span> 2017<\/span><span> to<\/span><span> 2020<\/span><span>, receiving support from the foundation<\/span><span>. <\/span><span>Even after turning pro last October<\/span><span>, <\/span><span>he has maintained his special ties with the Yuwon Golf Foundation, receiving support for stable tour activities through the Professional Golfer Support Program<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span>Player Lee Je-young, in turn, formed her bond with the Yuwon Golf Foundation through appearances in the pro-am charity golf tournament <\/span><span>\u2018<\/span><span>Daddy-Long-Legs Golf Tournament<\/span><span>\u2019 <\/span><span>and in the<\/span><span> GTOUR<\/span><span>. <\/span><span>Lee Je-young has also been chosen for the foundation\u2019s Professional Golfer Support Program since <\/span><span>2022<\/span><span> and is receiving training expenses<\/span><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span>Player Sung Yu-jin was selected as a <\/span><span>2017<\/span><span> scholarship recipient of the GOLFZON Leadbetter Academy<\/span><span>(GLA) <\/span><span>and received a systematic education program, then continued her ties with the Yuwon Golf Foundation as a sponsored professional golfer from <\/span><span>2020<\/span><span>. <\/span><span>Sung Yu-jin claimed her first victory at the <\/span><span>2022<\/span><span> <\/span><span>June<\/span><span> KLPGA<\/span><span> Tour Lotte Open, delivering a<\/span><span> 20<\/span><span> million won donation to the Yuwon Golf Foundation, and this past<\/span><span> January<\/span><span> she again delivered a donation jointly raised with her supporters\u2019 association, taking the lead in a culture of
